Adrian Ruiz
Branch Manager | Head Parkour Coach
Adrian began his movement coaching career in 2009, teaching parkour at Zero Gravity Gymnastics. Adrian’s pursuit of better coaching methods and techniques led him to earn the ADAPT Level 1 Certification in Houston, TX in 2013. He continued to teach, gaining a dedicated following of students and notable reputation.
Adrian moved to Boston, MA in 2015 to complete his ADAPT Level 2 Coaching Certification, and become a core member of the Parkour Generations Boston coaching team. During his time there he led and participated in a variety of workshops, school programs, international events, trained with Yamakasi founders and furthered his studies into the practice. He has coached at a number of international events including American Rendezvous (Boston, MA), Art of Retreat (New York City, NY), London Rendezvous (United Kingdom), and the Texas Winter Jam (Austin, TX). In 2017 Adrian moved back home to Las Cruces, NM to become the founder of formerly New Mexico Parkour, now Parkour Generations Las Cruces.
Adrian lives in Las Cruces, NM with his girlfriend and dog, where he is working to apply his knowledge, build a strong parkour community and break ground for new athletes and coaches. He introduced the first parkour school program in New Mexico and hopes to make parkour an important and impactful part of the larger regional community.
Joe Lanning
Asst. Parkour Coach
Joseph Lanning hails from Las Cruces, NM. Always a natural mover, Joe spent much of his childhood running around the desert with his dogs. He began his movement path at age 19 when he found the word parkour on PBS and began researching and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. After training on his own for 5 years, he began teaching at Zero Gravity Gymnastics and became the foundation of Parkour there for the next 4 years. In 2016 Joe earned his ADAPT Level 1 Certification in Las Cruces, NM and in 2018 traveled to Boston, MA to take the ADAPT Level 2 Course. Joe taught independently for 2 years before joining forces with Adrian Ruiz and founding New Mexico Parkour (PKGen Las Cruces). Constantly adapting his movement, Joe has a style that focuses on deep technical knowledge and creative approaches to movement problems.
Joseph Reser
Asst. Parkour Coach
Joseph Reser has resided in Las Cruces his entire life and has been training for approximately 9 years. After eight years of various martial arts practices Joseph moved onto the practice of parkour when he was twelve. Training at Zero Gravity Gymnastics under the guidance of different instructors, including Adrian Ruiz, Joe Lanning, and many others. After about three years of saturation from different instructors Joseph began teaching himself different skills at Zero Gravity. In 2017 he received a phone call about an opening to coach parkour at Zero Gravity. Ten months later he took the ADAPT Level 1 course and finalized his certification in 2020. His main goal is to help people move smarter and in a creative manner while also having fun.
